About the Authors

UTD is published weekly — more or less. The site is a work-in-progress, just like its authors. Here is our current roster:

I guess the Internet is going to stick after all.

Knuckles Runyon

Knuckles Runyon is older than you are. Crabbier, too. He once batted .213 for the Clarksburg Generals of the Western Pennsylvania League but you already knew that. Ostensibly a resident of Minneapolis, the most accurate thing you can say about his whereabouts is that he lives in the past.

Confused from the start.

Tom Swift

Tom Swift has an M.F.A. (creative nonfiction) and an M.S. (community health education). It's an odd combination but then he doesn't claim to be coherent. In a former life, he was an award-winning journalist. He once wrote a book. That book won an award (Seymour Medal) for best baseball book of the year. He currently lives in Minneapolis, where he teaches in a nonprofit setting. He believes in dogs, not so much in dogma.
