Love Your Fate

by Tom Swift

“Don’t demand that things happen as you wish, but wish that they happen as they do happen, and you will go on well.” -Epictetus, The Enchiridion, No. 8

Patience. Patience. Patience.

When you try to impose your will on the world that seldom goes well and usually only serves to tire you out.

It’s so easy to second-guess. It’s so common to lament. Yet when things don’t go the way you want them to, pause before you react.

Sometimes the thing you wish had not happened leads to something better than you thought possible.

And always it is waste of time to try to rewind the clock.

In every moment lies an opportunity.

This life perpetually presents you with gifts — if you leave your eyes open to them.
